Thousands attend international potato tech expo

The 2020 edition of the International Potato Technology Expo welcomed professionals from across North America back to the Eastlink Centre recently.

The event in Charlottetown, North America, featured a display of equipment and products, alongside an educational conference attracting hundreds of delegates.

3,078 attendees walked the show floor to check out diverse exhibits from local, regional, national, and international companies. Many exhibitors debuted cutting-edge and innovative products including new potato varieties, new equipment and growing technology.

Show partners included Prince Edward Island Department of Agriculture and Land and the Prince Edward Island Potato Board, along with major sponsors, Farm Credit Canada and Syngenta.

The show takes place biennially in Charlottetown. The next edition will be in 2022 and information will be posted online at www.PotatoExpo.ca as it becomes available.
