Potatoes voted a breakfast favourite
Potatoes are widely in demand on a full English breakfast according to latest statistics.
While 19% of those surveyed still ask for chips, 51% of Brits think the hash brown belongs on a full English Breakfast. In fact, breakfast hash made the top 20 favourite breakfasts, coming in 14th place and beating Eggs Benedict and avocado and poached eggs on toast.
The new survey from Leonardo Hotels reveals that the classic fry up is still Britain’s favourite breakfast dish (83%), followed by cereal (81%), and a bacon sarnie (79%). Poached eggs and avocado came in 18th place, followed by fishy kedgeree and the Spanish dish, Huevos Rancheros.
