Potato Day Live

POTATO Day Live takes place on November 4th, offering all those involved in the potato chain an opportunity to come together to network and see the latest varieties on offer.

Organised by Dutch potato breeder HZPC, the annual event has become a well-respected event in the potato sector. This year it will be an online event, as COVID-19 has put a stop to large gatherings.

Development updates, presentations and variety introductions will contribute to the event.

Speakers include Pedro Sousa, Director at McDonalds (pictured); Gerard Backx, HZPC's CEO; and grower/entrepreneur Erik Sannerud. There will also be an opportunity for growers and suppliers to talk about how they can contribute to the global food supply in the future. The relationship between potatoes and microbiomes, co-operation within the sector and hardy varieties will be topics under debate.
