New role to champion US potato use

POTATOES USA, which represents the interests of 2,500 growers and their families in the US and campaigns for the use of more potatoes by consumers, retailers, foodservice, food manufactures and nutrition influencers, has appointed Natalia Cervantes as conversation architect.

A new role within the organisation, Natalie's remit will be to increase demand for potatoes through media relations, digital marketing and social media.

She will monitor communications about potatoes and use the data to expand and maintain the industry's image. Natalie previously worked on custom marketing campaigns with a Denver television station, the Denver Broncos and Mile High United Way.

Potatoes USA provides leadership and funding to facilitate better research and communications on potato nutrition and varietal development. It has opened new markets and established helped export growth of US potatoes.
