Mixed responses in terms of demand
THERE have been mixed responses in terms of UK demand over the past week, with some reporting good free-buy movement, according to the AHDB.
However, others reported that demand has run out of steam a little since the opening of hospitality in April.
The widespread cold and wet weather in the UK meant the Bank Holiday weekend did not energise much demand throughout all sectors, with many outlets not requiring top-up supplies post-Bank Holiday.

Maincrop planting has progressed well, with most growers getting their 2021 crop in the ground.
