Research reveals potato is most grown vegetable as Brits strive for sustainabilty.
YOUGOV research for Readly digital magazine and newspaper app reveals that around half of UK consumers will be growing their own potatoes in kitchen gardens this season.
Potatoes, strawberries and tomatoes are the top three fruits and vegetable products people are growing at home this year, according to the research.
Forty-four per cent of Brits will plant potatoes in their gardens with the intention to leading a more sustainable life, it reveals.

When it comes to time invested in kitchen gardening this year, 8% believe they will spend six to eight hours a week in their garden, 22% will spend one or two hours and 30% will spend three to five hours.
