Filipino fries brand comes to UK

First store opens in London as embassy pays tribute.

A FILIPINO fries brand, Potato Corner, has opened its first store in London. 

Known for serving flavoured fries, Potato Corner launched its first store in Britain at the Medz Corner Food Court at Kensington High Street on December 10th.

The grand opening was attended by Philippine Embassy Chargé d’Affaires, Rhenita Rodriguez. She congratulated franchisee Wildfredo Ventura on the new venture and expressed hope that the opening would be the first of many for the fries brand in the UK.

Apart from London, the homegrown brand has stores in the United States, Panama, Thailand, Cambodia, Indonesia, Myanmar, Hong Kong, Saudi Arabia, Australia, China and Singapore. It recently opened a store in Canada. It has more than 1,000 stores in the Philippines.
