Digital impacts on potato pesticide use

CHAP, the UK Agri-Tech Centre funded by Innovate UK, which brings together scientists, farmers, advisors and innovators is inviting UK growers and agronomists to take part in a 60-minute online webinar to learn about the new digital tools impacting pesticide usage across the potato production sector.

The event will explore the risk of disease for the UK potato industry in 2021, examine how government funding is supporting UK potato growers, and explore how CHAP’s CropMonitor Pro can streamline pesticide costs next year.

Speakers include Faye Richie (Associate Director – Disease & Pest Management) from ADAS who will provide an overview of the challenges facing the potato industry and the rise of pesticide resistance, and Chris Delf (CHAP Business Development Manager and in-house agronomy expert) who will showcase CropMonitor Pro – a field-level enhancement to DEFRA’s Crop Monitor.
