Names unveiled at national awards ceremony on first night of British Potato 2023 show.
WINNERS of the British Potato Industry Awards (formerly known as the National Potato Industry Awards) were announced at a glittering ceremony held in Harrogate last night.
Comedian Rod Woodward, who was a huge hit with those who attended the 2021 awards, returned as guest speaker and announced each of the 10 category finalists. The British Potato Industry Award, originally inaugurated by the British Potato Council and subsequently by the Potato sector of AHDB, was awarded alongside three other new categories at the biannual event, organised by Potato Review.
Held at the Old Swan Hotel, the event attracted people from throughout the British potato supply chain, and was completely sold out. Main sponsor was The British Potato Event (BP2023) and other event sponsors included McCain, Nufarm and Farm Electronics. Category sponsors included Potato Review and Potato Days.
