GB Potatoes stages two events, with talks and refreshments, to explain core aims and address key questions.
TWO information events are being held this month for British growers to find out more and pose any questions they have about the newly-formed organisation, GB Potatoes.
The first event takes place on June 20th at Wisbech Rugby Club at 9am and will feature presentations from Steve Moncaster (BAWAG) and Simon Alexander (SA Consulting), and bacon rolls on arrival.
The second will take place on June 27th at The Red House Hotel, Coupar Angus, at 5.30pm, with stovies as refreshments. It will feature a presentation by David Cooke and Dr Mohamed Jabloun from JHI on blight and climate impacts.
Both events will give growers an opportunity to learn what the organisation has been involved with, and discuss the organisation as a whole with members of the board, as well as hearing speakers talk about topics relevant to the potato industry.
Co-organiser Graham Bannister said: "We would love to see anyone who has an interest in the GB Potato sector and wants to see it prosper going forward."
