BioAccelerate enters second phase

AberInnovation’s BioAccelerate which has been helping to develop bioscience companies in Wales over the past three years, providing a hub for collaborative R&D and innovation in west Wales, is now entering its second phase.

Aberystwyth Innovation and Enterprise Campus (AberInnovation) provides world-leading facilities and expertise within the biotechnology, agri-tech, and food and drink sectors. Set in between the Cambrian Mountains and the Irish Sea, the £40.5m Campus offers an environment for business and academic collaboration to flourish.

Amigrow, which aims to leverage artificial intelligence (AI), satellite imagery, Internet of Things (IoT) and crowdsourced data to transform the way food is grown worldwide, is one of the recent ideas to have come out of the hub.

Using technology combined with the knowledge and agricultural practices of farmers around the world, Amigrow provides a platform to its users allowing them to make data-driven decisions to increase their farm’s efficiency, yields, resilience, and more.
