Europatat Congress returns to Brussels in May.

THE next Europatat Congress will take place in Brussels on May 23rd and 24th. The annual Europatat event has become a key platform to assess the state of play of the potato sector and to communicate the priorities and challenges facing potato businesses in Europe and beyond.

Europatat organises its annual congress every other year in Brussels, the heart of the European Union. Under the theme 'European Potato Trade in 2030: A sector in transition', this year’s event will focus on the main environmental, economic and social challenges for the potato sector and traders for the coming years, as well as solutions and opportunities that new tools and techniques can deliver.

On the Thursday, Europatat members will review the different activities of the association during the meetings of its five commissions (consumption potatoes, seed potatoes, sustainability, technical and regulatory issues, and RUCIP). The following day, the Europatat General Assembly will take place in the morning, followed by a conference which will be open to the public.

On the eve of the European elections, the Europatat Congress will offer participants the possibility to discuss with European legislators and politicians, and other sectorial colleagues how the sector should transition to the new decade. There will be networking opportunities at the traditional Europatat Gala Dinner on the Thursday and farewell drinks on the Friday.
