Agricultural workers most impacted by coronavirus
AGRICULTURAL workers are the sector most affected by COVID-19, with an 8.1% increase in working hours, according to new research by residential rehab centre Delamere Health.
One of the main causes of workplace burnout is the unrealistic industry working hours.The average hours worked per employee in the Agriculture and fishing industry was recorded as 48, that’s 38% above the latest reported average for British full-time workers. The average weekly working hours for Agriculture and fishing are the highest across all industries within the UK.
The industry also ranked high on the Industry Mortality Rank, with a high score of 34.
