Agria and Markies continue to take lead

AGRIA and Markies continue to take the lead in the UK bags market this week. 

Many farmers are busy with fieldwork and planting, slowing the movement of material off farm. This, coupled with relatively strong demand for these varieties, has resulted in uplift in prices.

Trade has been mixed for chipping material. Some regions had increased trade for the Easter weekend but others didn’t see the uplift anticipated and had leftover stock into the week.

There are reports of holiday makers booking up campsites and self-contained holiday cottages from Monday, when Covid-19 restrictions eased, meaning more movement of people around the country. With more people out-and-about, increased trade is likely.
