MORE than 200 exhibitors from 16 different countries will be present at this year's Potato Europe event, which will take place on September 6th and 7th in Kain, near Tournai in Belgium.

Organisers are expecting to welcome more than 10,000 visitors. There will be harvester demonstrations, field trials and commercial stands taking place on the 33,5 ha site.

As the show alternates between venues in France, Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium, the outdoor show was last held at this venue in 2019.

PotatoEurope 2023 is organised by Fedagrim, the Belgian Federation of Agricultural Equipment Constructors, Importers and Dealers.

The 2023 show will include:

  • a technical trade fair where the entire potato chain is represented, from seed potatoes and cultivation follow-up to trade and processing
  • a presentation field where companies can show off their latest progress in terms of seed potatoes, fertilisation or phyto products
  • a demonstration area where harvesters and storage lines can be seen in action, and where other demonstrations are possible depending on the country, such as alternative haulm killing, mechanical weed control or other techniques
