Paper-based packaging used in Tesco pilot.
PEPSICO, producer of potato snacks, has been trialling new paper-based outer packaging for its Walkers Baked multipacks.
The trial pack is widely recyclable and replaces plastic outer wrapping on ore than 300,000 six-pack multipacks of two popular flavours - sea salt and cheese and onion.
British consumers were able to buy the new packs at 800 Tesco stores across the UK from the beginning of March and Walkers have asked for shopper feedback on the design's functionality.

In an earlier trial, the company rolled out cardboard outer packaging for 22 and 24-bag multipacks.
