UK growers and suppliers can benefit from training.
THE inaugural SAOS (Scottish Agricultural Organisation Society) Growing Tomorrow’s Leaders programme, supported by NFU Scotland and NFU Mutual and delivered by The Leadership Factory, has just celebrated the success of its first cohort, sharing learnings and feedback prior to launching its 2023/24 programme.
For decades, SAOS has supported UK growers, co-op directors and staff, to develop skills and knowledge through a programme of events and training. It developed Growing Tomorrow’s Leaders with input from an industry steering group, to help meet the need for more training with a strategic focus.
The programme has been equipping people with new skills and a support network.
Participants in the first programme, which commenced in autumn 2022 and officially ended with the graduation event in Dundee, include those working in large organisations, SMEs and self-employed.
