AgriFood Charities Partnership creates new networking role
The AgriFood Charity Partnership, which enables charities to work together to support British food and farming, has created a new part-time role to help achieve greater synergy within the charity sector.
“Since AFCP was formed in 2008, we have brought together a wide range of charities to jointly support projects ranging from higher education to applied research,” said Professor Graham Jellis, AFCP chairman.
“We are now in a position to fund a part-time, paid role to improve networking between charities and third party funders in the food and farming sectors.
“The role will suit someone with a sound knowledge of the industry, an enthusiasm for meeting people and an eye to spot relevant opportunities.”
Answering direct to the chairman and with administrative support, the role is anticipated to require around 40 days a year, initially for a period of two years. Full details can be found on the charity’s website – www.afcp.org.uk/news
