THE FPC Fresh Awards close in less than two weeks, and those in the potato supply chain are being urged to consider entering themselves or someone else for one of the following if they haven't already:
UK GROWER OF THE YEAR - growers who have demonstrated excellence in adapting to labour, supply chain and environmental challenges.
INTERNATIONAL GROWER OF THE YEAR - The International Grower of the Year will combine great teamwork with a willingness to embrace innovation, make sound financial decisions and have an intuitive agricultural / horticultural acumen that sets them apart.
BUSINESS SERVICE PARTNER Entries are welcome from any business, including logistics, packaging, IT, ports, shipping, machinery, freight forwarding, science labs and chemical manufacture, who provide support to UK fresh produce/flower companies.
RISING STAR OF THE YEAR - for the under 30s ‘young guns’ in the fresh produce and cut flower sectors who have shown vision, creativity, and determination.
SUSTAINABILITY EXCELLENCE - Recognising best practice and innovation in improving sustainability across the fresh produce and cut flower sectors. This category has three award options including Ethical, Climate, Supply chain.
MANAGER OF THE YEAR - Celebrating and rewarding managers who demonstrate outstanding achievement, and contribution in terms of professional development, coupled with the ability to bring out the best in others.
SUPERMARKET FRUIT & VEG SUPPLIER OF THE YEAR for suppliers who show a clear commitment to excellence in fresh food provision in terms of range, quality, and consistency, delivered on a daily basis to supermarkets across the UK.
AGRITECH & INNOVATION EXCELLENCE - this award celebrates innovations that have real-world outcomes which are providing a positive impact upon the industry.
FOODSERVICE SUPPLIER OF THE YEAR for growers, agents, exporters, packers, & distributors who supply fruit and veg to UK based foodservice companies.
WHOLESALE FRUIT & VEG SUPPLIER OF THE YEAR for growers, exporters, agents, distributors, and wholesalers of fruit and veg to the UK market who consistently deliver their services to the highest standards.
