Industry will be out in force at Harrogate

MEMBERS of the UK potato industry are expected to be out in force in Harrogate in November.

It's still possible to book an individual place, or a table for the awards night which will feature a celebrity speaker, a three-course meal and celebrate all kinds of achievements and introductions to potato growing, storing, marketing and more over the past two years.

The deadline has also been extended for awards entries, so if you would like to nominate a person, product, machine or project for one of the awards here, Potato Review is keen to see and share as many of these as possible. Either enter online here or contact the editor if you'd like more information or guidance on how to go about this.

The event will take place on the first night of the British Potato show (BP2021). Warners Group Publications, which organises the awards, has teamed up with Steve Wellbeloved, organiser of BP2021, to hold both events in tandem, so anyone making the journey to Harrogate on Wednesday, November 24th can look around exhibits and attend seminars at the well-known trade show (see page 14 to 16 for our latest round-up) then socialise with friends, suppliers, advisors and other industry colleagues at the awards event in the evening.

Similarly, for those exhibiting at the BP show, it's a chance to unwind and enjoy a meal with like-minded colleagues while listening to a celebrity speaker and hearing whose contributions to potato growing, supply and more have been recognised.
