July / August edition

Harvesting an early processing crop just outside Holt in Norfolk for E. G. Harrison & Co, Church farm, Trimingham. The variety was Innovator destined for Lamb Weston’s French fry factory at Wisbech in Cambridgeshire where production was about to get underway again following a summer shut-down. The crop, which had been planted under fleece, yielded close to 60 tonnes/hectare, not bad for the last week of July.

Looking ahead to November, we’ll be publishing a special preview edition which will include the official programme and full exhibitor listings for BP20017, the UK potato industry’s premier trade show. We look forward to seeing you there.
